Barkin' Arts NYC recently had its inaugural event - "People Paws & Paint" - which was a resounding success. The canine friendly event was held at the Living with Art Gallery in Soho, NYC on June 14, 2006 and featured a silent 'Arf N Art' auction of canine theme art from emerging and established contemporary artists. Over 200 guests and their furry friends enjoyed mingling with others and raising valuable funds for future children's educational art workshops. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit Animal Haven Shelter. This "friend-raiser" was a wonderful way for New Yorkers to enjoy both art and animals!
